​Discover the work of Elaine Foulsham in her new exhibition, The Land Speaks. 

​Elaine draws inspiration from the rugged Australian bush, a land defined by its raw and untamed beauty. Within this landscape, she seeks to capture the inherent harshness, a quality deeply etched into the character of this ancient terrain.

Through her works, Elaine explores the unyielding spirit of the bush, a testament to the resilience of nature. Despite the unforgiving conditions and the challenges posed by a harsh environment, there is a remarkable ability for nature to quickly rejuvenate itself. It’s a cycle of destruction and rebirth, where wildfires clear the land, but in their wake, new life emerges, and the landscape flourishes once more.​

Elaine's work pays homage to nature’s remarkable ability to overcome, thrive and inspire, with much of her inspiration is drawn from the Blue Mountains, the Cumberland State Forest at West Pennant Hills, Wisemans Ferry and the Mudgee area.​

​The exhibition is being hosted at NSW Parliament by Mark Hodges MP, Member for Castle Hill​.

How to see the exhibition

Visit the exhibition at NSW Parliament House on weekdays​, 9am to 5pm between 3 and 26 September. ​Access is to the left of the building via the security gatehouse.
